How to Choose the Right Moisturizer

However, if you are struggling with dry or combination skin, choosing the right moisturizer is a little trickier but the key is to understand the root cause of the dryness.  Here's a breakdown of how to figure out which moisturizer is the best for dry and combination skin types. 

The words "hydrating" and "moisturizing" are often used interchangeably but they are very different and understanding this difference is the key to choosing the right moisturizer for your skincare routine. 

Dehydrated skin needs water, and dry skin needs oil.  It's that simple and combination skin is often just normal or oily skin that is dehydrated.  

If your skin is dehydrated, make sure you are drinking enough water everyday.  Add some fresh lemon or a few drops of doTERRA lemon essential oil some added flavor and detoxing.  

For combination skin, check the ingredient list to make sure there are both hydrating and moisturizing ingredients.
